One of the most exciting videos I’ve seen is from HPI Racing for their 1/5 scale Baja 5T gas powered rc trucks. Powered by regular gasoline mixed with 2T motor oil, a full tank will run for over 30 minutes.

Power comes from a 26cc gasoline engine capable of pushing the truck to speeds up to 40 mph.

But more than speed is the jumping capability and realism. Watching the video from HPI Racing just makes me want to get one.

Kyosho UltimaSC – Short Course RC Truck

Joining the popular category of short chourse rc truck is Kyosho with their Ultima SC.

It’s a nice truck, however it looks like it is only RWD. I think the new trend in 2010 is for 4wd short course rc trucks as these are faster and easier to drive. And more fun. Maybe Kyosho will soon follow with their own 4wd.

If you are a fan of short course stadium trucks, you will love this. Traxxas has come out with a 4 wheel drive version of their popular 2wd Slash rc truck. With 4 wheel drive that means more control, faster laptimes and just more fun.
