From micro, to mini, to 1/10, and to large scale, there’s an electric or nitro rc car for you. Let’s take a look:

1/36 Scale
These are micro rc cars powered by small electric motors. Don’t let the small size fool you, box stock these can go 10mph. Hop it up with Lipo batteries and speeds over 20mph are possible. Popular is the Losi Micro T.

1/27 Scale
Most popular is the Kyosho Mini Z. This is probably the most scale looking rc car available with so many beautiful rc car bodies. It’s good on the display stand as it is on the track. There are 2wd and 4wd versions. And even some off road and monster trucks.

1/18 Scale
Popular are the HPI Micro RS4 Drift, Associated RC18, Kyosho NRX-18 and the Losi Mini T series. Choose from touring cars, stadium trucks, buggies, sprint cars, monster trucks and crawlers.

1/16 Scale
Here we have electric and nitro powered scale rc cars, stadium trucks, buggies, short course, monster trucks and drift machines. Companies to look for are Traxxas, Kyosho, Yokomo and Tamiya. Box stock, some like the 1/16 Slash brushless, can go as fast as 30mph.

1/12 Scale
A variety of nitro and electric powered scale rc models to choose from reputable companies such as HPI, Associated, Yokomo, Tamiya and OFNA.

1/10 Scale
The most popular class with hundreds of scale rc cars to choose from. Electric, gas or nitro powered. On road or off road. 2wd or 4wd. 10mph or up to 90mph. Kits or ready to run. You name it, there’s an rc car for it.
